Google dropped three connected updates this week that together reshape how you interact with a computer.

Gemini Intelligence is now built into Android. It can automate tasks across apps, summarize and compare web pages, fill forms, convert voice dictation into clean messages, and build custom widgets. This is not a separate app. It runs inside the phone you already use. See what it does.

Googlebook is Google's new premium laptop category. Built around Gemini, Android apps, Chrome, and phone sync, it is designed to work as one connected system across your devices. It also ships with Magic Pointer. Learn more.

Magic Pointer is the most important part. Google DeepMind built a cursor that understands context, not just coordinates. Point at a date in an email, it schedules the meeting. Point at a table, it builds the chart. Point at a paused video frame, it finds the location on a map. You no longer have to describe what you want. Pointing at it is enough. See how it works.

Google is not alone. Mira Murati's Thinking Machines Lab previewed interaction models that process audio, video, and text in 200-millisecond chunks, letting the model listen, watch, and act in real time. Perceptron Mk1 also launched, built to understand video as a stream of events rather than a sequence of images.

New tools worth noting this week:

  • Claude Code Agent View - one dashboard to manage parallel coding sessions, paid plans

  • Krea 2 - image generation that is giving Midjourney real competition, went viral on X

  • Ponder - turns raw footage into clean video edits without a timeline

  • Oboe -turns a learning goal into a personalized course built for you

  • OpenAI Daybreak -security threat detection, patch generation, and fix verification, paid only

Why It Matters

The shift here is not about one tool. It is about how the interface between you and your work is changing.

For creators and marketers, Magic Pointer removes one of the most annoying parts of any workflow: describing what you already have on screen. If you work with data, images, or video, this directly cuts the time between seeing something and doing something with it. Watch the demo closely and think about which part of your current workflow involves the most re-describing of things already visible.

For freelancers, the Gemini Intelligence Android integration means your phone can now handle more of the low-value work, form filling, page summaries, message cleanup, so you stay focused on billable output. Set up the automations once and let the phone handle the repetitive work between client calls.

For founders and builders, Claude Code's Agent View is worth turning on immediately if you manage any custom development work. Running multiple coding sessions in parallel from one dashboard means faster iteration with fewer context switches. If you are on a paid plan, this is a direct time save.

For video creators, Ponder is the most practical new tool this week. If you record a lot of footage but hate sitting in a timeline doing rough cuts, this is built for that exact problem. Test it on your next raw recording before you decide to hire an editor.

The broader signal: the friction between having an idea and executing it is shrinking fast. The people who stay ahead are the ones who test these tools early, find the 20% that actually save them time, and cut the rest.
