Claude's Computer Use lets it take real actions on your machine instead of just talking through them. Here is the workflow.
Download the latest Claude desktop app.
Open the app and go to Settings, then General.
Find the Enable computer use toggle and turn it on.
Open Cowork or Claude Code and start a session.
Ask Claude to do something involving an app on your computer. It will ask for permission before proceeding.
